'2G consecutive Arch' NYY Judge's 55th season... One step forward toward the unified home run king

Aaron Judge (32, New York Yankees), the clean home run king, is one step closer to the unified home run king of the two major leagues. 메이저사이트

Judge started as the Yankees' No. 3 hitter and center fielder in an away game against the Oakland Athletics in the 2024 Major League Baseball (MLB) at the Oakland Coliseum in Oakland, California on the 23rd (Korea time), and recorded two hits in three at-bats (one home run) with one RBI, two runs and two walks. Judge hit the sinker of opposing pitcher Joey Estes to hit the center fence in the top of the third inning with one out and no runners in the top of the 3rd inning when the score was 2-2. It was his 55th home run this season.

Judge also hit a home run in the game against Oakland on the previous day. Judge, who had no home run in 16 consecutive games since the game against the Washington Nationals on April 26, broke his silence in the game against the Boston Red Sox on April 14 and added three more home runs afterward.

On the same day, Ohtani had a two-game gap with Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers, who marked his 53rd career by hitting a home run against the Colorado Rockies. Ohtani, who achieved the first 50 homers and 50 steals in his career, is showing a strong batting performance at the end of the regular season, adding homers and stolen bases. Considering Ohtani's pace, it would be difficult for him to rank No. 1 in the home run category for Judge, but he also countered by hitting home runs in two consecutive games.

The Yankees played 156 games through Sunday, with six more to go. The Dodgers also played 156 games. Judge and Ohtani have reserved the American League and National League home run king, respectively, but are competing for the most home runs in the 2024 season. The race between the two superstars is heading for the climax.
